Be Vigilant!

In Acts 2:17 we read:

“And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions…”

You see, the Holy Spirit has a contract, an appointment, with our generations and satan is trying to sabotage it. Once satan gets his tentacles into them, he has no intentions of releasing them without a fight. The question is, “are we willing to fight for them?” If you saw the movie “War Room” you’ll remember that Mrs. Clara told Elizabeth Jordan that she was fighting the wrong enemy.

Even harder when you don’t really have a grasp on who the enemy is or how the enemy is gaining access. What if that enemy has been given an invitation, an entry point? We are much more effective in battle if we understand the root cause and the entry points. Then we can cut him off at the pass, so to speak.

When we can stand flat-footed, eyeball to eyeball with that enemy, call him out, and say “no more” as we lay it all on the altar, then we can claim the victory. Yes, I’m talking about generational curses and entanglements that seemingly have a vice grip on our seed. We must take authority over those things. We have the right, the authority, and dominion by Christ Jesus.

What strategies and contracts is the enemy using on our children? Stop and take inventory. Write them down. Now, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any others you may not be aware of. Now pray; pray sincerely; pray strategically. Our children cannot fight this battle alone. We, Kingdom Parents, must fight!

Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for Holy Spirit poured out on our children. We lay hold on that promise that they will prophesy; they will have visions. We trust that our children will be mighty voices for the Kingdom in their generation and beyond.

 

Help us to see and recognize the right enemy. We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

 

Holy Spirit, reveal to us the strategies and entry points the enemy is using and lead us in the battle to victory. Teach us how to pray more fervently, more strategically, and more consistently. Deliver and restore our children we pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
