Many years ago, I was among a group who was asked to give a scripture and expound a little for a Christmas service. I chose John 3:16. Afterwards, the leader approached me and rather condescendingly said that she’d never hear that as a Christmas scripture. I thought to myself, I haven’t either, but it makes perfect sense. She and many others were busy shopping for gifts to give for the season.
Where did she think we ever learned about giving if not from our Father?
When we fail to fully embrace the Word of God and apply it to every area of our lives, we will never live the Word, nor walk in the Word, nor will we live according to the plan and purpose of God for our lives. And if we miss this, we will NEVER be able to teach our children.
Oh the fullness of our Abba. Oh the depth of the Word of God. It is for teaching, for reproving, and for guidance. It is our roadmap, the very oxygen of life.
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being;
as certain also of your own poets have said,
For we are also his offspring.”
– Acts 17:28
And as we, as His offspring, learn this and move in this, we are poised to pass this on to our generations… for a thousand generations! May this be born in you in this holy season as we remember and celebrate the most precious gift of all!

After I originally left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the exact same comment. There has to be a way you can remove me from that service? Thanks! Leeann Angeli Burch
